About Us

Sylvania Lodge is a family oriented and pet friendly campground, & cottage facility, featuring Dalhousie Lake Restaurant; open every year from mid-April until the end of October.

We offer a variety of fully serviced, seasonal RV sites and we are expanding. Presently we have a few sites available.
So come and see for yourself. You will love being part of the fun where your biggest decision of the summer will be, to participate in the fun or
to just relax in the sun with a good book.

We also have 4 well maintained and fully upgraded housekeeping cottages. Choose one of our very affordable and cozy cabins. Rent by the night (when available), the week or monthly.

Your cottage includes boat launch and docking. Want to bring your pet ? Ask us about our pet friendly policy.

Don’t have your own boat ? Then ask about our non- motorized boat & canoe rentals. You are welcome to bring your own motor.
(Operators must abide by all Provincial rules and regulations concerning the operation of any motorized watercraft.)

The fishing is great out on Dalhousie Lake, or find that special spot yourself, while leisurely cruising the Mississippi River. The still quiet mornings on the lake or the river are ideal for fishing. Let the call of the Loon waken you early and you may be lucky enough to catch sight of the great Blue Heron foraging along the shoreline, or laugh at the comical antics of the Otters as they frisk about the water and if you’re really lucky, you’ll catch the shy beaver as he toils endlessly along the water’s edge.

If swimming is your thing, our private beach offers a shallow roped-off area for little waders and great diving into the deep waters off the end of the dock, or boat out to the far end of the lake, drop anchor and dive in. Dalhousie Lake is noted for its cool unspoiled waters and minimal boat traffic.

Our on-site Dalhousie Lake Restaurant is famous for its great food and warm, friendly atmosphere. If you don’t feel like cooking, or your hosting a special event,  relax! Our restaurant is just steps from your front door.

Is golf your passion?  Within a fifteen minute drive you will find a 9 hole course at Blue Heron Golf Club, and 18 holes at The Timber Run in Lanark.  Our staff will be happy to direct you.

Purdon Conservation Area is a 5 minute drive away. You can spend hours, roaming the boardwalk which meanders through the fen, where you will find the largest collection of wild Lady Silpper Orchids in Ontario, a myriad of breathtaking wildflowers and some of the best bird-watching anywhere.
