DALHOUSIE LAKE & THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER
Early risers will thrill to the loon's call while stealthy adventurers catch a glimpse of otters playing along the river's edge. Beaver can be seen working tirelessly along wooded shorelines and the really lucky may be surprised by paired white swans gliding gracefully through quiet pools while elegant Blue Herons on long spindly legs, fish along reedy embankments.
The unspoiled waters of Dalhousie Lake and the combination of slow and fast-moving waters of the Mississippi River create ideal conditions for the avid fisherman. Small & Large Mouthed Bass, Pike, Pickerel/Walleye, and Crappies, can all be found, and of course Sunfish still fascinate the youngest fishermen.
